Feeling Grateful

It’s Mother’s Day at 7 am and I can’t sleep. I’m not sure why, but my body has decided that 6:30 is a good time to wake up.

I am grateful for my mom for her never ending patience with me. Even at my worst, she never gave up on me. She has always been my rock to fall back on. She is just so strong.

I am grateful for my stepmom for making Price a fun place to visit. That’s a hard job…lol  I have a lot of good memories with her. Going to work with her, scrapbooking on the living room floor, watching movies.

I am grateful for my sisters and the awesome relationship we still have. We just went out to ice cream together and it was so much fun.

I am grateful for Shaya. We took a walk late last night to the gas station for ice and talked. She can totally tell when I need to get out for a minute and somehow knows when I need her to call. I haven’t had a lot of really close friends in my life and it seems like this friendship is meant to be. We met through our husbands, but didn’t become good friends until we got pregnant for the first time. We are both virgos, our husbands are close friends that dj together, our first born kids are 3 weeks apart, our kids names rhyme(haha…totally not on purpose), our wedding anniversaries are a couple of weeks apart, the list goes on.

I am grateful for Crystal for keeping me sane at work. I admire her for raising her daughter on her own.

And last, but not least, my soon to be mama. I love you S. I feel like my little sister is getting married and having a baby. I want you to be happy…I wish I could take your pain away…you are so important to me.

Saige’s Birthday

I have really been neglecting my blog lately. My internet hasn’t been working right. Hopefully we’ll have a better connection soon.

Anyway, Saige’s birthday turned out really well. I was kinda nervous to have ten little kids running around my house, but it ended up being a nice day, so we were able to be outside. She wanted a rainbow party, so everything was really colorful. I made a cake with a rainbow out of jelly beans and marshmallows for clouds, tie dyed shirts for all the kids and we made a pinata that was impossible to break 🙂 She was totally spoiled. I took lots of pictures, but my computer is refusing to upload anything at the moment, so I’ll have to do that later.

If I had my child to raise over again

I’d take my eyes off my watch and watch with my eyes,
I would care to know less and know to care more,
I’d take more hikes and fly more kites,
I’d stop playing serious and seriously play,
I would run through more fields and gaze at more stars,
I’d do more hugging and less tugging,
I’d see the oak tree in the acorn more often,
I would be firm less and affirm much more,
I’d model less about the love of power,
And more about the power of love.

It has been a year already?!

I was looking at old blogs and it has been almost exactly a year since my dr put me on bedrest with Kade. I have been through so much this past year, especially around the time he was born. It has gone by so fast!! He will be a year old next month and he is doing great. I’m really lucky. It could have been much worse.

I switched shifts with someone at work and it just happened to be the day Dr White was going to Lagoon to do his monthly walk through. I love going there. As soon as they see him, they come over to the gate and want to smell you and rub up on your hands, it’s incredible. I tried to upload a video, but it’s not working.
